The advantage of the Windows UX Pack is that it offers Windows 8 look and feel without modifying any system files (which the Transformation Pack does). However, after taking on board user feedback, the Windows X Team does stress that the Transformation Pack is now more safe and reliable than it has ever been.

As the name suggests, the Transformation Pack essentially morphs any XP, Vista or Windows 7 PC into a Windows 8 lookalike. Updated to 4.0, the latest version adds the Seogoe seen in Windows 8 CP to add further authenticity and realism. In addition, the Charms Bar has been introduced for those unable to get the full UI working properly.
